Ashton Memorial is a prominent 150-foot-tall Edwardian Baroque monument set in Williamson Park, Lancaster. Sitting high on a hill overlooking the city, it is often nicknamed "England’s Taj Mahal."
Eas built between 1907 and 1909 by the lino industrialist James Williamson, 1st Baron Ashton, in memory of his late second wife, Jessy.
